Question:
Where can i use the Armstrong Tatra tiles?
Answer:
The Armstrong Tatra can be used in a 24mm or 15mm ceiling grid, in almost any application. The Tatra has good all-round technical abilities, but shouldn't be used to achieve high fire or acoustic ratings. So we would say this tile is better used in general areas such as corridors, waiting rooms and offices, just to name a few.
Question:
How do i know if i already have Armstrong Tatra tiles already?
Answer:
The Tatra is easily recognisable, due to its worm like patter on the surface. Not many ceiling tiles share a resemblance to this, so the tile tends to stand out. If you aren't sure by looking at the face pattern, then check the back of the tile, which should have a stamp that tells you either the name or the BP code, which in this case should read either BP958M for the board edge version, or BP962M for the tegular edged tile.
Zentia Limited, the manufacturer of Armstrong-branded ceiling tiles and grid systems in the UK, entered administration on 8 June 2026. Most standard Armstrong and Zentia products are currently still available, however some items may become unavailable over the coming weeks or months.

A widely used mineral fibre suspended ceiling tile with a classic fissured pattern, designed as a cost-effective option for offices, corridors, communal areas and general commercial ceilings.
Armstrong Tatra Ceiling Tiles are one of the most commonly recognised suspended ceiling tiles, featuring a classic fissured surface pattern often described as a worm-like texture. This familiar finish has made Tatra a long-standing choice for commercial buildings, offices, schools, corridors and communal spaces.
Manufactured from mineral fibre, Armstrong Tatra tiles offer a practical balance of appearance, value and general performance. They are especially useful for replacement ceiling tile projects where matching an existing suspended ceiling is important. Armstrong Tatra was later rebranded as Zentia Fission Board, with the tile remaining effectively the same product under the newer name.
